Sheik Al Mahshi Recipe

Serves: 5 persons
All you need
1 Kg small Zucchini
1/2 Kg minced meat
1 pack al alali Vermicelli
1 medium onion finely chopped
Salt to taste
al alali Ground Black Pepper to taste
1 liter water
1 Kg Yoghurt
1 egg
1 tbsp. al alali Corn Flour
3 garlic cloves minced
1 tbsp. ghee
2 tbsps. extra virgin olive oil
1 cup vegetable oil for frying
almonds and Pine seeds for garnishing
Directions
- Wash zucchinis and remove the marrow
- In a pan, Heat olive oil, add minced meat and onions, sauté
- Add salt and al alali Ground Black Pepper, cook
- Stuff the zucchini with the minced meat
- In a frying pan, heat vegetable oil, Fry zucchini slightly until color change
- Meanwhile, boil water, add the stuffed zucchini, cook
- In another pot, mix yoghurt, salt with al alali Corn Flour until smooth
- Place the pot on low heat stirring constantly and slowly until boil. Set aside
- Add one cup of the boiled water from zucchini to the yoghurt
- Simmer for 5 minutes
- In a pan, melt the ghee, add garlic, sauté
- Pour the garlic on the yoghurt mixture, Simmer for another 5 minutes
- Garnish with almonds and Pine seeds
- Serve with rice and al alali Vermicelli and enjoy!
